Helmet and snuggles

June 13 - 14, 2011
35 weeks old

We discovered that Nolan has Torticollis.  Basically that means that one side of his neck is stronger than the other.  As a result, he favors one side and therefore he has a bit of a flat spot on that side.  His case is really mild, but we will do physical therapy to strengthen the weaker side.  This will help to avoid jaw problems when he gets older.  Because he has the flat spot he will be wearing a cranial cap to round out the back of his head.  In order to get measured for the cap, he had to wear this sock on his head and have his head scanned. We thought he looked like a medieval knight...a very adorable medieval knight.

Sir Nolan

Our adorable knight. (not the greatest picture of daddy...oh well!)

Both daddy and mommy love to snuggle with Nolan.  As he has gotten more mobile, it is more difficult to get in a good snuggle because our little mover has too much to explore!  Even the coveted snuggle nap has become more elusive as he likes to sprawl out in his crib.  However, every once in awhile we get lucky and get a good snuggle with our favorite snuggler.

Lucky daddy gets a snuggle nap!

Cuddle up!
