Christmas 2011

Christmas with a toddler is pure joy!

Christmas Eve, the three of us went to mass together.  We were 25 minutes early and yet we still didn't get a seat!  It may have been better to be on the floor on the side of church because sitting still was a challenge for Mr. Nolan.  Upon return we had a feast of appetizers and Nolan opened up one present...a pair of Christmas pajamas!

Here's a flashback to last year's photo!

Getting into gift opening
Santa came sometime that night and left a really big box for Nolan to open!  Nolan had so much fun opening all of his presents.  Note the gate around the tree.  It was necessary to keep both the tree and Nolan safe.

Christmas morning!

Is this for me?

I like this gift opening thing.

Cool!

In addition to the toy box, Santa also gave Nolan the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Mommy helped Nolan open some gifts.

So did daddy!

We celebrated with the Heckers on New Year's Eve down in Rochester.  Uncle Rick, Aunt Laura, and Cousin Gavin are moving shortly after the holidays so we decided it would be best to celebrate there.  Nolan LOVES playing with his cousin Gavin!

Grandma Pat and Grandpa Tom loved the ornament and book Nolan gave them

Nolan gave Gavin a Thomas tent...it was a BIG hit!
On New Year's Day, we headed to Aunt Katie's to celebrate with the Kothes.  So much partying didn't slow down Nolan.
